At James L. Meeystl Magic High School, an inner city high school for the average and under rated in the magical community. Here at MMHS we are committed to setting our students on the right path, away from smuggling illegal contraband, spawning demon babies, and getting into turf wars with opposing magic crews. Students at Meeystl are good kids-GOD DAMN. Get out of my office right now! I will turn you into a turtle!-, just sadly misguided on the wrong path. But graduation rates have gone up in the last year, now sitting proudly at 55%. While the standerdized testing scores may not be at the top, our students are showing much potential and room for improvement. Meeystl is in affiliation with the prestigious Mystal Magic Academy. Some of their students have even taken time defiantly not mandated to tutor our students here at Meeystl.

Scarlet, a tall girl with matted dark hair and an overall less-than-average face, sat out on the grass in the courtyard. It was lunch time, although every day no one ever saw her eat anything for lunch. While other girls sat far away, laughing together at the picnic tables with their big lunches and talking about the boys who normally sat on the opposite side of the courtyard, talking about the girls, Scarlet sat in the center with the big tree and the lovely flowers and the bright grass, picking at its blades, making daisy chains, sunbathing, and generally acting foolish while trying not to get her simple outfit dirty. Though she did these fun, childish things, she always did them--and everything else in her life, really--with a solemn, even bored face. And today was not an exception.

Candy, in contrast, was always on the opposite spectrum, being very sociable and quite popular with everyone. Though a bit soft-spoken at times and a total crybaby, she had an unnatural childlike charm to her that people were simply drawn to--boys looking for a gal other than the stereotypical cheerleader type especially. Despite that, Candy had never been out on a date before, ever had a boyfriend, or even kissed a boy. Each time a boy got up his nerve to ask her out she'd get so nervous and begin to cry, and because of her very loose control on her powers, something...horrible...would always happen to the poor boys that really shouldn't be talked about actually ahem cough what were we talking about again? Right, how popular Candy is! Because of all of these...incidents, she has gotten less popular with the guys (who generally stay away from her) but fellow females absolutely adore her. Speaking of, right now she's sitting at one of the bigger picnic tables, eating her big rich girl lunch as she listens to a 'friend' recount a tale of Saturday night's booze-drinking, love-making shenanigans.

Strutting out of the schools doors and into the court yard came Ashley. Oddly enough she wasn't being followed by her usual posse. Her eyes scanned around and she knew they were sitting around here somewhere. The popular people, she prided herself in being part of the popular crew. Her head turning good looks just barely made up for her personality. She was loud, arrogant , and she knew what she wanted. She was also guilty of tending to be a complete tease, to just about any guy that would give her the attention. Slut, bitch and pillow princess where popular nick names for her, not that she ever let it bother her, or affirm or deny the accusations of sleeping around (though more often then not they were true).It seemed that any insults anyone would throw at her she would simply take them in stride. If someone was a little to harsh, or hit a little too close to home bad things would "mysteriously" happen to those individuals. Then when confronted about involvement in these /accidents/, Ashley would put on her most fake smile and lie through her teeth. "Oh no! What a tragedy, no I don't know how billy burned to death! I swear!". On more occasion then one she was let of the hook, was it due to her charismatic charm or mind power the world may never know.

And then there was Muse, dirty blond hair still dyed a deep, dark red and her foul mouth finally shut for a few minutes, which was just a little bit suspicious. But what was it she was doing this time? The girl was the kind known for fighting/trying-to-push-jimmy-off-the-roof-again, turning herself into a rat to sneak around the principal's office, and sleeping around. All of which were, unfortunately, true (the last of which being rather surprising, considering her offers to kill anyone that so much as touched her. Why she was even at the school and not in jail was a fucking miracle, though whatever she was doing was likely to test the principal's limits yet again and knowing her that's exactly what she was going for. Try and see if she can give him a heart attack

(idk, I'm not sure how to get the lot of them to interact so I suggest just ignoring Muse's presence, considering it's easier to get two characters to interact than three different individuals)

Candy looked up when she heard the courtyard's doors open, as she had essentially checked out of the other girls' conversations awhile ago, and watched the infamous Ashley strut outside, late for lunch. Moments after her came that Muse girl Candy hears so much about too. Some girls at her table waved her over--Ashley, not Muse, specifically--and she did a quick count of empty seats around her. If Ashley responded to the insistent calls of the girls, she would have to sit next to Candy. Candy shrunk a bit thinking about it, but she wasn't sure why.

Scarlet looked up at the sound as well, observing the girls when they entered the courtyard. She had absolutely no idea what their names were. Furthermore, she more or less didn't care. When Muse passed her spot as she walked out, though, she threw a stray daisy in her direction.
